Privacy policy
Antinode Inc. ("Antinode", "we") builds AI assistants for industrial machine manufacturers and their service teams. This policy explains what personal data our services handle, why, who we share it with, and your rights. Contact: hello@theantinode.com.
Who is responsible
When a manufacturer uses Antinode for its service team or customers, that manufacturer is the controller of the service data and we process it on its behalf. Antinode Inc. is the controller for this website, our own business contacts, and the anonymized data described under "Improving our models".
What we collect
- Messages to an Antinode-powered WhatsApp number: your phone number, WhatsApp profile name, and what you send (text, photos, voice notes, documents), plus our replies.
- Service records: machine, customer site, problem description, tickets, service reports, sign-offs and confirmations created during a service conversation. Some of this comes from the manufacturer rather than from you.
- Dashboard accounts: name, work email, role and sign-in activity.
- Website and email: anonymous usage statistics and anything you send us.
How we use it
- To provide the service: answer machine questions, open and track service tickets, notify the right people, and produce service reports and history.
- To operate, secure, support and improve the service.
- To create anonymized data, as described below.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (where the GDPR applies): performance of a contract; our legitimate interests and those of the manufacturer in running, securing and improving machine service; and legal obligations.
Improving our models
We may remove or generalize details that identify people, companies and sites in service data, and use the resulting anonymized data to evaluate, train and improve AI models and to build industry benchmarks, which we may share or publish. Anonymized data no longer identifies anyone and is not personal data. We rely on our legitimate interest for this step, and you can object to it at any time by contacting us.
Who we share it with
Service providers that process data for us, currently: Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), Anthropic (AI models), Supabase (database, sign-in and storage), Amazon Web Services (hosting), Vercel (website hosting) and Sarvam AI (voice transcription). We also share data with the manufacturer whose service you are using, with professional advisers, with authorities where the law requires, and with a buyer or successor if our business is transferred.
Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the GDPR applies, these transfers rely on an adequacy decision, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed to provide the service to the manufacturer and keep its service history, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, security or dispute purposes. Anonymized data may be kept indefinitely.
Your rights and deleting your data
Depending on where you are, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw any consent you gave. To delete your data, email hello@theantinode.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the phone number or email you used. If the data belongs to a manufacturer's service records, we pass the request to that manufacturer. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with its date.
